Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Civil Senior Engineer I with a strong technical background to develop deliverables for industrial site development projects. The role includes leading designers, coordinating with clients, and applying sound engineering judgement to ensure quality and safety.

You will develop design concepts, prepare calculations, write specifications, and issue construction drawings, while interfacing with permitting agencies and subconsultants.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• 6+ years related engineering experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under deadlines.
• Detail oriented and quality focused.
• Experience in industrial/commercial site development and related systems.
• Experience in rail layout/design and rail standards/approval processes.
• Understanding of local/state/federal permitting requirements.
• Proficient with Civil engineering software (HEC, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Excel, Word).
• Experience with bulk material handling and liquid terminal facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Engineer, supervising designers and staff, interfacing with project personnel and clients.
• Develop design concepts, prepare calculations, write specs, and issue construction drawings.
• Interface with permitting agencies, rail operators, utilities and municipalities.
• Prepare scopes of work and coordinate surveys and subconsultants.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in proposals.
• Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
