Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Houston, TX is seeking a Civil Senior Engineer I with a strong technical background to develop deliverables for industrial site development projects.

The role leads design teams, interfaces with agencies, prepares scopes of work, reports, and proposals, and may travel or work overtime as needed.

Applicants should have a BS in Civil Engineering, PE licensure, 6+ years of related experience, and proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering
• PE licensure
• 6+ years related engineering experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task under deadlines
• Detail oriented and quality focused
• Experience in industrial/commercial site development, roads/highways, drainage and water/sewer systems
• Familiarity with rail layout/design and rail standards/approval processes
• Knowledge of local/state/federal permitting processes
• Proficient with Civil engineering software (HEC, Civil 3D, AutoCAD)

• Prepares scopes of work and coordinates subconsultants
• Prepares technical reports
• Assists in proposals
• Occasional overtime and travel may be required
