Matrix PDM Engineering in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a Civil Senior Engineer I to apply strong technical judgment to develop deliverables for industrial site development projects.

The role leads design teams, interfaces with permitting authorities and utilities, and ensures timely, quality construction documentation while managing scope and budgets. PE licensure and 6+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• PE licensure (Professional Engineer).
• 6+ years of related engineering experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Detail oriented and committed to quality.
• Experience in industrial/commercial site development and related systems.
• Familiarity with rail layout/design and rail operator standards.
• Understanding of local/state/federal permitting processes.
• Proficient with Civil engineering software (HEC, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Develops design concepts, prepares calculations, writes specifications, and issues construction drawings.
• Interfaces with permitting agencies, rail operators, utilities, and municipalities.
• Functions as Lead Engineer, supervising designers and staff, and monitoring budgets and schedules.
• Functions as engineer-of-record for civil/site scope.
• Prepares written scopes of work and coordinates with survey and geotechnical subconsultants.
• Prepares written technical reports.
• Assists in preparation of proposals.
• Performs other duties as directed.
• Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
