Job summary

A+ Childcare & Learning, a licensed childcare center, is seeking Lead Teachers to support the Two's age group. The candidate must have a high school diploma, pass all background checks, and complete an associate degree or higher. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum weekly and carry out classroom routines.
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain a clean, organized classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences.
• Physically able to work around small children and lift up to 40 lbs.

To beQUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks as well as a completed associate degree or higher.

Required Shift:

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Teachers:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
