Kids First - Olmsted is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support Infants and Preschool. Qualified candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, CDA or higher, 1 year of experience, and can pass background checks.

Shift options: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm. Compensation: $14–$18 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. We offer competitive pay, paid trainings, comprehensive benefits, 401k with match, and childcare discounts.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans and curriculum weekly across all areas of child development.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure child safety and well-being; maintain a clean, safe classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in Nov and May.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around young children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs as required.
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities for child care.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require candidates be 18+, have a high school diploma OR GED, CDA or higher, 1 year experience, and the ability to pass all background checks.

Compensation: $14-18/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.


• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.


• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.


• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.


• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.


• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.


• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.


• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
