Job summary

Kid's First Parma Heights is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher to support Infants and Preschool. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience, and the ability to pass all background checks. Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Ability to pass all background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; use parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
