Job summary

A+ Childcare & Learning is seeking Lead Teachers to support the Two's age group in a licensed childcare center. This role requires a high school diploma, ability to pass background checks, and an associate degree or higher.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Compensation ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, depending on education and experience. We offer competitive pay, paid trainings, and a generous benefits package including Dental, Medical, and Vision Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans weekly across all areas of child development and maintain classroom routine.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around young children and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities related to child care.

To beQUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks as well as a completed associate degree or higher.

Required Shift: Available shifts:Monday - Friday;

• 8:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation: $17-$20 per hour, based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process for Lead Teachers:

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Teachers:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
