Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking a dedicated Child and Youth Services team leader to oversee program staff delivering developmentally appropriate care for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years at the Fort Detrick facility. The role emphasizes safety, growth, and structured activities across multiple age groups.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong English communication, leadership experience, and relevant educational credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Minimum of 18 months experience in group programs with children/youth and related education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a team leader to ensure staff provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Ensure implementation of developmentally appropriate programs promoting growth in social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains.
• Instruct team members, provide written instructions and gather supplies.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities based on observed needs and interests.
• Ensure health and safety standards in diapering, toileting, hand washing, sanitation, food service, safe sleep, and care for ill children.
