Job summary

Alameda County’s Department of Child Support Services is seeking a Child Support Specialist III in Alameda County. This team-lead role handles the most complex or sensitive cases and provides training and guidance to Child Support Specialists I and II while supporting special projects.

You will review work for accuracy and policy compliance, manage escalated customer service issues, and participate in court hearing conferences with case participants.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Four years full-time child support case work.
• Strong data analysis and policy compliance skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle the most complex or sensitive child support cases.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to staff in processing of child support work.
• Review work of team members for accuracy, quality control and policy compliance.
• Handle escalated customer service issues.
• Participate in court hearing conferences with case participants.
