Job summary

Alameda County’s Department of Child Support Services is seeking a Child Support Specialist III in Alameda County. This team-lead role handles the most complex or sensitive cases and provides training and guidance to Child Support Specialists I and II while supporting special projects.

You will review work for accuracy and policy compliance, manage escalated customer service issues, and participate in court hearing conferences with case participants.

Child Support Specialist III - Alameda County

The Alameda County Department of Child Support Services (ACCSS) is offering an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families as a Child Support Specialist III.

The Child Support Specialist III is a team lead that handles the most complex or sensitive cases, provides training and support to Child Support Specialist I/IIs, and tackles special projects and assignments.

  • Handle the most complex or sensitive child support cases.
  • Provides guidance, training, and support to staff in the processing of child support related work.

  • Handles escalated customer service issues.
  • Participates in court hearing conferences with case participants.
Compensation and Benefits

$40.90-$49.74 Hourly | $79,755.00-$96,993.00 Yearly

Minimum Qualifications

As an external applicant you can qualify with:

  • Education: Graduation from high school or possession of a Certificate of Proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education, or possession of a G.E.D. certificate.
And
  • Experience: Four years full-time child support case work experience within a child support program.
NOTE: Education Substitution –

Possession of an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in sociology, public administration, liberal arts, or closely related field may be substituted for either six months (AA) or one year (BA/BS) respectively, of the required experience.
