Job summary

Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Rockland, ME seeks a Child Protective Services Casework Supervisor to lead caseworkers and staff in child protection, adoption, and substitute care. You will allocate caseloads, provide guidance on complex cases, and ensure quality service delivery.

The role requires eight years of relevant experience with at least two years as a fully licensed social worker (LSW). A Master’s degree is preferred; LMSW/LCSW qualify.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of education and/or professional experience in social work which includes at least two (2) years experience as a fully licensed social worker (LSW).
• A Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of caseworkers and staff within child protection, adoption, and substitute care.
• Assess and assign casework loads; review and guide staff on cases and service delivery.
• Coordinate with other agencies to ensure services, monitor agreements, and improve program quality.
