Job summary

Porter Logistics is seeking a Chemical Repackaging Lead to launch and operate a new liquid repackaging capability at our Atlanta-area facility. You will serve as on-the-floor lead, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient production while establishing best practices and SOPs.

You will partner with engineering, operations, and safety teams to improve throughput, reduce waste, and maintain product integrity, supervising transfer from bulk totes to smaller containers, and handling labeling, packing,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience operating machinery in chemical/manufacturing environments.
• Forklift experience required.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Mechanical aptitude for pumps, valves, and scales.
• Attention to detail and safety compliance.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to monitor process variables.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Reading SDS/GHS labeling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling equipment for liquids or solids.
• Set up and troubleshoot machinery to maintain fill weights and flow.
• Follow production orders, labels, and batch instructions.
• Seal, label, and package per specs.
• Record production data (lot numbers, quantities, equipment settings).
• Follow chemical safety procedures including PPE and spill response.
• Understand SDS, GHS labeling and hazard classes.
• Work within OSHA and facility safety rules.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas to prevent cross-contamination.
