Job summary

Compass Group USA's Canteen division in Greenville, SC is actively hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor at GE Gas Turbines. You will oversee one shift (6:00 am–3:00 pm), supervise culinary staff, and ensure service, quality, and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has culinary and supervisory experience and will train and schedule associates while maintaining a positive work environment. Benefits are included; no weekends or holidays.

• Previous supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a shift and ensure completion of assigned tasks.
• Provide training and create work schedules for the team.
• Evaluate performance of workers, reward top performers and address underperformance.
• Serve as the point of contact for employee requests and time-off.
• Mentor and develop staff and encourage advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
