Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. seeks a Chef to manage daily culinary production, preparation, and presentation of food for the unit and to assist the General Manager in planning to achieve operating goals and customer satisfaction in California.

You will oversee menu planning, budgeting, staffing, and safety to ensure high-quality food and efficient service in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent required; Culinary or Associate's degree in food service or related field preferred.
• Manager Food Safety Certification. Strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to interact and communicate well with the client.
• Ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop menus. Forecast, analyze, and cost food items and portions; ensure compliance with budget.
• Prepare food for service.
• Recruit, supervise, train, schedule, discipline, and direct culinary and utility staff.
• Monitor customer flow and determine food and supply needs; maintain inventory control.
• Maintain safe facility environment including sanitation, equipment upkeep, and hygiene; report safety issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints.
