Job summary

The Charge Nurse at Tenet Healthcare in Memphis, TN leads daily department operations to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. You mentor staff, assist in recruiting and training, and coordinate care when the Nurse Manager is away.

You will prepare reports for nurse managers, assess staff competencies, and maintain clear communication with the Nurse Manager and House Supervisors while supporting unit needs and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Active RN licensure in Tennessee; BLS at hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the department to ensure quality patient care.
• Assist in recruiting and training of new hires and mentor staff.
• Prepare reports for nurse managers and coordinate care in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Assess staff competencies and assign patient care accordingly.
• Maintain clear communication with the Nurse Manager and House Supervisors.
