Job summary

Millington Healthcare seeks a Charge Nurse to deliver direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants in a Tennessee facility. You will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local guidelines and manage day-to-day nursing operations under the Nursing Director or Nurse Supervisor.

You will direct staff, maintain medical records, administer medications, and participate in care planning and quality assurance to uphold high standards of resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN or LPN/LVN license in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate leadership and supervisory ability and work harmoniously with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure it reflects day-to-day procedures.
• Lead shift rounds, coordinate services, and update discharge plans as required.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician and verify resident identity.
• Provide nursing care and supervise nursing personnel to meet residents' care plans.
• Complete and file required records and reports; ensure accurate charting and documentation.
