Job summary

Ascension is seeking a motivated healthcare professional to support the Cardiology department at the Center for Advanced Medicine in Evansville, IN. This full-time daytime role focuses on coordinating shift operations, serving as a key resource for staff, and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of cumulative experience with a high school diploma, or 1 year with an associate/technical degree, or 5 years in a related role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical/functional resource for staff and similar duties.
• Assign, monitor, and review work; report policy/procedure compliance.
• Oversee orientation and training; participate in staff performance reviews.

Your future role at a glance

• Location: Evansville, IN
• Facility: Center for Advanced Medicine
• Department/Speciality: Cardiology
• Schedule: Full-time, Days, Monday-Friday

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
• Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
• Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/orprocedures.
• Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the reviewand evaluation of staff performance.
• Inventories clinical supplies and places supply orders to maintain desired levels. Receives and organizes the handling of medication samples.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
