Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking a Lead Driver to coordinate transportation activities across branches in the Indiana region. You will be the local point of contact for delivery priorities, manage routes, and ensure safe, on-time execution.

Responsibilities include driving company trucks, training new drivers, maintaining records for DOT safety, and collaborating with leadership to improve processes. A strong safety and service mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years in driver/wholesale electrical parts distribution.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to use warehouse equipment and inventory systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local point of contact and coordinate daily priorities and team duties.
• Drive company trucks for on-time deliveries and pickups; cover across branches as needed.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate training activities for drivers with leadership.
• Train new transportation team members on policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Plan daily routes for branch delivery vehicles using routing software and dispatch tools.
• Report deficiencies to management for resolution.
