Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a Lead Driver who combines leadership with hands-on transportation duties. You will coordinate daily delivery priorities, supervise drivers, and act as the local point of contact for branches within the territory.

You will drive company trucks, manage routes, ensure DOT safety compliance, and train new drivers while maintaining accurate documentation and performance metrics to deliver a superb customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in driver or wholesale electrical parts distribution.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Working knowledge of routing software.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical and forklift certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to use warehouse equipment and inventory systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as local point of contact, communicate priorities, and coordinate team.
• Drive company trucks for on-schedule deliveries and pickups.
• Fill in across branches to cover for absences.
• Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate training and measure driver performance.
• Schedule routes and use routing software for deliveries.
• Maintain DOT safety compliance and vehicle records.
