Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a CDL Lead Driver to supervise a group of drivers, ensuring routes are serviced on time and safety standards are met. This non-routed role emphasizes training and development within the career paths program.

The ideal candidate will hold a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, OSHA 10 or 30, and at least one year of CDL driving experience, with a focus on mentoring and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 18+ years old.
• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• US work authorization and OSHA 10 or 30 card.
• At least 1 year of clean CDL driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a group of drivers daily to ensure routes are serviced timely.
• Educate and retrain new drivers; conduct pre/post trip inspections and safety reporting.
• Train drivers to operate CDL trucks on designated routes and to disposal sites.
• Complete training documentation and daily operation paperwork.
• Coordinate retrains with drivers within 72 hours.
• Provide courteous customer service and maintain professional interactions.
