Job summary

Casella-Waste-Systems, Inc. is seeking a CDL Lead Driver who can operate all lines of business and supervise a group of drivers to ensure timely service and safety compliance.

This non-routed position serves as training, with opportunities to advance through the career paths program. The successful candidate will supervise daily routes, conduct pre/post trip inspections, train new drivers, maintain training records, and collaborate with operations to maximize efficiency while delivering

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 10 or 30 card required.
• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of clean CDL driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a group of drivers daily to ensure routes are serviced on time and report concerns to management.
• Educate and train new drivers on pre- and post-trip inspections and safety protocols.
• Train drivers to safely operate CDL trucks along designated routes and to disposal sites.
• Complete training documentation and required paperwork for daily operations.
