Job summary
WSP leads CBTC testing and commissioning for the Transit and Rail/Systems Engineering team in our New York Office at MTA Headquarters. The role focuses on overseeing testing, integration, and readiness for revenue service, ensuring safety and performance alignment with agency requirements.
The ideal candidate brings deep CBTC knowledge, 10+ years in engineering with rail experience, and at least 5 years in CBTC projects, with travel flexibility to meet project needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or systems engineering.
- 10+ years in engineering with transit/rail experience.
- Minimum 5 years CBTC project experience.
- Knowledge of CBTC architecture and interfaces.
- Willing to travel as required.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of all Testing and Commissioning activities to meet contract, safety, and performance standards.
- Review test documentation, readiness for cutover, and certification evidence.
- Coordinate CBTC interfaces across onboard, wayside, interlocking, ATS, telecoms, OCC.
- Monitor progress of Factory Acceptance, Site Integration, Commissioning, and Operational Tests.
- Support certification readiness, safety audits, and KPI reporting.
