Job summary

St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston seeks a radiologic technologist for the Cath Lab to support diagnostic and interventional radiography procedures. You will enable high-quality images, assist cardiology teams, and ensure radiation safety and compliance in daily work.

The role includes on-call coverage for after-hour cases, including STEMI, with rapid reporting and documentation. A strong background in radiology, a Texas license or ARRT/RCIS certification, and registry are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years special procedure work
• 1 year experience in cardiac catheterization preferred
• Current Texas Department of Health license and ARRT/RCIS certification required
• Accredited School of Radiology training with registry obtained or on-the-job training for >3 years

Responsibilities

• Supports Mission, Vision and Values of SJMC.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines to protect PHI.
• Promotes safety culture and proper Time Out procedures.
• Sets up and performs radiographic techniques with proper adjustments.
• Produces CD images and labels them accurately.
• Documents fluoroscopy times and contrast used.
• Maintains PM records and equipment maintenance.
• Maintains X-ray supply inventory.
• Provides on-call coverage for after-hour procedures including STEMI with 30–45 minute response.
• Complies with ethics and corporate policies and educations as requested.
