Job summary

Compass Group at Louisiana State University is seeking an Executive Kitchen/ Supervisory role to support the kitchen team in daily operations. You will assist the Executive Chef, supervise cooks, and ensure production standards are met across all meals.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, supervising staff, enforcing food safety rules, and maintaining equipment and sanitation. This position requires experience and leadership in a fast-paced food-service environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years cooking experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Store food in designated areas following all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils; keep workstation clean.
• Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
