Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge is hiring immediately for a full-time Senior Catering Captain. You will supervise the Catering Department, prepare and serve food at functions, and may drive a truck to deliver orders. Weekend availability and catering management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
• Weekend availability required; catering management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Catering Department employees and assists in performance appraisals.
• Determines workload requirements from catering orders.
• Coordinates with function group leaders on setup and last-minute changes.
• Assembles and delivers food and supplies to scheduled functions.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment and work area.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
