Bon Appetit is seeking a creative and organized Catering and Events Manager in San Jose, CA. This role oversees end-to-end event operations, drives culinary and hospitality standards, and leads a dedicated team to deliver exceptional experiences for clients and guests.

You will collaborate with Culinary, Marketing, Concept Development, and Risk Management to uphold program standards and partner satisfaction, while championing food safety and workplace safety across all events.

Qualificações

• Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years in high-volume catering, event management, or premium hospitality leadership.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Resilience: Proactive mindset; remains calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Culinary Passion: Strong passion for high-quality food preparation and presentation.
• Certifications: ServSafe Manager Certification is preferred.
• Leadership: Experience leading and navigating in a Union environment is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Architect the Event Experience: design and own the holistic event experience from decor to service.
• Drive Strategic Hospitality: maintain warm, inclusive hospitality across all event types.
• Direct Event Logistics: ensure catering orders are processed and fulfilled accurately.
• Develop Bespoke Offerings: create menus and concepts aligned with budgets and standards.
• Cultivate Talent & Service Excellence: train and schedule staff; lead service education.
• Ensure HR Integrity: conduct employee reviews and coaching with urgency and precision.
• Champion Safety & Compliance: uphold Food Safety and Workplace Safety standards.
• Foster Partner Relations: respond to guest feedback within 24 hours and communicate clearly with partners.
• Manage Administrative Timelines: meet deadlines for weekly and monthly reporting.
