Job summary

Tyson Foods in Forest, Mississippi is seeking a Lead LP04 to support the Catch Crew Team 1 (and Team 2). The role is on the 1st shift with base pay of $23.50 per hour plus additional pay for great attendance.

You will assist the Supervisor, coordinate daily tasks, and help ensure safety and animal welfare guidelines are followed. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of operator experience and 6 months in a lead/utility/maintenance role, with preference for 1 year in related operations.

Qualifications

• Six months of Operator experience with one employer in the last twelve months (REQUIRED).
• Six months of Lead or Utility or maintenance experience (REQUIRED).
• One year of operational (Feed Mill/Hatchery/Growout/Live Haul) experience (PREFERRED).
• High School diploma or equivalent (PREFERRED).
• Holiday and Weekend Work may be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tyson Non-DOT Operator's permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily responsibilities and ensure instructions are carried out timely and correctly.
• Monitor all equipment and notify supervisor of maintenance needs while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Support catch crew operations with safe handling of nets and live birds as needed.
• Perform catch machine operation tasks including deploying and retrieving nets and supplies.
• Work in contract grower houses in hot, dusty environments.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
