Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is hiring for a Lead LP04 to support the Catch Crew Team 2 in Forest, MS. The role focuses on supervising daily tasks, ensuring safety and animal welfare, and coordinating with the supervisor for timely execution.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, assisting with catch machine operations, and performing hands-on tasks in warm, dusty grower environments.

Qualifications

• Six months of Operator experience with a single employer in the last year.
• Six months of Lead or Utility or maintenance experience.
• One year of operational experience in Feed Mill/Hatchery/Growout/Live Haul is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Team : Catch Crew Team 2 (apply to same position for Team 1 as well)

Shift : 1st Shift

Base Pay: $23.50 per hour plus possibility of additional pay for great attendance

Location : Tyson Live Haul out of Forest, MS

Tyson Foods is looking for proven leaders to help lead our new catch crew teams.

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

The catch crew team is responsible for working safely and ensuring animal welfare guidelinesare met when assisting with catch machine operations by proper placement and handling of equipment and live bird handling as needed.

Catch crew members perform a variety of hands‑on tasks throughout the catch machine operation process: Deploying and retrieving nets or other supplies needed in catch machine process.

and proper chicken handling when necessary to complete catch process.

Catch crew work includes working in contract grower houses to include warm, hot, and dusty work environments.

Requirements:

Must have the following documented in the application work history section or resume:

• Six (6) months of Operator experience with 1 employer over the last twelve (12) months REQUIRED.
• Six (6) months of Lead or Utility or maintenance experience REQUIRED.
• One year of operational (Feed Mill/Hatchery/Growout/Live Haul) experience PREFERRED.
• High School diploma or equivalent PREFERRED.

Holiday and Weekend Work may be required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tyson Non-DOT Operator’s permit.

Rehire policy:

Former Tyson Food or affiliate Team Members will be considered if:

• Its been over 180 days since last time worked and
• Team member has NOT worked 3 or more times with Tyson Foods or our affiliates.
