Job summary

Tyson Foods in Carthage, MS is seeking a Lead LP04 for 1st shift on the Tyson Live Haul team. The role requires coordinating daily tasks, monitoring equipment, and ensuring safety and animal welfare during catch operations. The position offers competitive hourly pay with attendance incentives.

The ideal candidate will have operator and lead/maintenance experience, along with a high school diploma or equivalent, and must meet Tyson policies and background checks as applicable.

Qualifications

• Six months of Operator experience with one employer in the last year.
• Six months of Lead/Utility/Maintenance exposure required.
• One year of operational (Feed Mill/Hatchery/Growout/Live Haul) experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor by communicating instructions to team and executing tasks on time.
• Monitor equipment; report maintenance needs and promote safety aligned with Tyson policies.
• Ensure animal welfare during catch machine operations with proper handling of equipment and live birds.
• Deploy and retrieve nets and supplies for catch machine process and handle chickens as needed.
• Perform catch crew work in contract grower houses in demanding environments.
