Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Product Engineering Manager for the Rapid Prototype Casting Lab (RPCL) to lead casting development for turbine engine components. You will drive design, tooling, quality, and process improvements to enable higher performance engines.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field with 8+ years of aerospace experience, U.S. citizenship, and leadership capability. Onsite work with travel <10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, manufacturing, or technically-related field and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.
• Experience as a Product Engineer for aerospace castings
• U.S. Citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Empower and lead the RPCL Product Engineering team in casting development activities including: part quality requirements, casting mold & tooling design, work instructions, etc.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and enforce standardized engineering practices, processes, tools and methods across all products.
• Develop the product engineering team in skill sets which are critical for group success.
• Manage the resources and assignments across the team
• Develop technical and project plans for new castings to meet all casting quality requirements
• Support the RPCL Operations team as needed to meet program requirements
• Travel less than 10%
