RTX seeks a Senior Casting Engineer to support its Electric Systems Power Generation division. You will lead casting development for aerospace components, collaborate with design and manufacturing teams and suppliers, and drive cost, weight, and reliability improvements.

You will review drawings, design casting tooling, and develop manufacturing processes. The role emphasizes strong teamwork and problem solving in a high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years experience OR an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with sand casting in aerospace or high-tech industries.
• Experience designing tooling for cast components and evaluating feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturability of components produced by sand casting.
• Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and feasibility.
• Design and evaluate tooling for casted components.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes with suppliers.
• Create standardized work procedures for production.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities without quality loss.
• Identify root causes of production issues and implement fixes.
• Travel 25-50%.
