Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney Rapid Prototype Casting Lab (RPCL) in East Hartford is seeking an Investment Casting Quality Process Engineer. You will develop and maintain quality and inspection capabilities for turbine engine components, partnering with product leads to ensure dimensional and non-dimensional inspection supports project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with required experience in quality engineering or an advanced degree with relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes for compliance to applicable requirements.
• Develop and release inspection processes/techniques.
• Procure and maintain inspection tooling and equipment.
• Support non-compliance investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Assist preparation for internal/external quality audits.
• Develop and deploy standardized quality engineering practices, processes, tools, and methods.
• Lead Lean and CI projects to reduce variation and improve throughput and part quality.
• Develop capital equipment projects to improve process capability.
