Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced cashier team and uphold exceptional customer service in our busy stores. You will supervise cashiers, assist with daily operations, and help ensure a welcoming shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly, with strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong math skills and cash handling ability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Ensure excellent customer service by proactively visiting registers and guiding cashiers and clerks.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies and maintain restroom/parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks according to policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and take steps for disciplinary actions.
