Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Lead Cashier to ensure efficient guest transactions, maintain cashwrap standards, and support training of new cashiers while driving loyalty results and guest satisfaction. You will lead by example, manage register open/close, assist with product demonstrations, and collaborate with store leadership to grow sales and deliver an exceptional Ulta Beauty experience for every guest.

A high school diploma is preferred and at least two years of related experience are typical

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed store goals related to retail and service sales, loyalty, and shrink; contribute to performance targets.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending Ulta Beauty products.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges with courtesy and efficiency.
• Pair guests with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to boost sales and experience.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events to deliver exceptional guest experiences and meet sales goals.
• Own replenishment and maintenance of cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures; ensure guest-readiness at all times.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance and adherence to policies.
• Lead cashier chat-ins/outs and associate exit inspections as needed; support leadership with team development.
