Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to assist customers, operate registers, and maintain store cleanliness. You will help shoppers locate products, answer questions, and support loading merchandise while following Lowe's policies.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, handling returns, and ensuring accurate pricing. The role requires strong customer focus, basic computer use, and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's customer service policies and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Listens to customer questions and guides them through store areas and projects.
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, and warranty information.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds.
• Provides proper monetary change to associates for register activities.
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers.
• Assists in line vesting to ensure checkout coverage and opens registers as needed.
• Prepares register area and stocking supplies at shift start/end.
