Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a customer service–savvy associate to assist shoppers in person and at the register. You will guide customers to products, demonstrate features, and complete sales with accurate cash handling.

The role emphasizes safety, stock knowledge, and responsive service to maintain a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include assisting with loading merchandise, processing transactions, and supporting store operations through daily tasks and cashier duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds to customer and employee questions by guiding them to areas of the store and walking through projects when necessary
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Monitors cash in drawer and daily reconciliation duties as assigned
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Looks up product information and competitor prices for price matching
• Records store items on use lists
• Ensures safety and housekeeping standards are followed
