Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions and guide them through projects when necessary
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
• Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in department duties or sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
• Prepares register area at the beginning and end of shift and inspects returned merchandise for damages
