Job summary

Lowe's in College Station is looking for a dedicated cashier to join our Front End team. You will deliver helpful, friendly service, process transactions, assist customers with loading merchandise, and maintain accurate cash handling throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and retail cashier experience. You will work on a busy sales floor, support store operations, and uphold Lowe's standards for safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by guiding them through projects in-store.
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns and refunds according to company guidelines.
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels to ensure they do not exceed limit requirements.
• Detects common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicates them to management and/or Asset Protection.
