GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. This position is responsible for driving loyalty results, including credit, through a focus on performance, people, and process. The Lead Cashier supports the leadership team with register functions, associate inspections, and cashier chat ins/outs, requiring a passion for guest experience, process excellence, and delivering exceptional results by engaging guests on our Loyalty Life Cycle and contributing to goal achievement.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service through greeting, engagement, personalized service, and product recommendations.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Assist in booking appointments and supporting in-store events to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
• Maintain and organize cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures to ensure guest readiness.
• Maintain prompt attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates.
• Engage and influence peers to achieve productivity and performance goals.
• Drive accountability in delivering personalized brand experiences and following systems prompts.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance professional development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to the dress code.
• Complete all transactions accurately and control cash/media according to policies.
• Maintain store standards and cleanliness.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination preferred.
• Ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Passion for guest service and selling.
• Experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.
