Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Protection (AIP) seeks a Lead Case Processing Specialist to supervise case-processing staff, coordinate with ICE and facility teams, and ensure accurate, timely processing of detainee cases. The role emphasizes quality assurance, workflow management, and cross-agency collaboration.

Qualified candidates have a degree in a relevant field and at least two years in case-management or immigration processing, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Accredited associate or bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent related education/experience.
• At least two years of directly related case-management or case-processing experience.
• Experience reviewing detention files, custodial records, or immigration case files is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with ICE personnel and facility staff.
• Pass background and health checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or supervise case-processing specialists with daily direction and coaching.
• Organize tasking by case urgency, court dates, and interviews to maintain workflow.
• Monitor deadlines, backlogs, and quality of work; provide coaching for improvement.
• Coordinate with detention, transportation, medical, and security teams to ensure readiness.
• Review case files and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
• Escalate high-risk deficiencies to the Case Management Coordinator.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and development of staff.
