Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved apprentice program or four years of skilled-trade experience.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience including two years leading a crew or supervising trades projects; two years of supervisory/management experience.
• Master license or certification in related trade where applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Commission medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of carpentry trades employees across Montgomery Parks.
• Establish work priorities, allocate resources, coach staff, and uphold safety and quality standards.
• Plan and oversee complex carpentry projects, including renovations and major maintenance.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans; coordinate contractors and stakeholders.
• Manage shop operations, budgets, procurement, inventories, and service contracts; ensure compliance with codes and policies.
