Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Carpentry Supervisor to plan, schedule and supervise bargaining unit staff. You will ensure quality and compliance with agreements, standards and codes, while directing maintenance, repair and fabrication work with carpentry techniques.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of formal training in a state-approved Journey Carpentry program.
• Requires 10 years related work experience, of which at least 5 years has been in a supervisory capacity.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, assigns, directs and supervises the work performed by bargaining unit staff.
• Ensures work quality and progress in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, JHH standards, and local, state and federal codes.
• Performs supervision of maintenance, repair, fabrication, installation and modification work using carpentry techniques.
