Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a qualified Carpenter to support facilities operations at Fort Meade, MD. The role covers advanced carpentry, painting, maintenance, and modification of facility components in Government facilities, with emphasis on safety, codes, and workmanship standards.

The successful candidate will handle preventive and corrective maintenance, service orders, and project work while coordinating with maintenance personnel and Government representatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with carpenter qualification or journeyman level credential.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in commercial or institutional carpentry and building maintenance.
• Experience with doors, finishes, walls, ceilings, and related components in secure facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced carpentry, painting, and installation work across facilities.
• Read drawings and specs; complete work orders and update CMMS records.
• Inspect components and recommend corrective actions; support PM and repair activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff, subcontractors, and government representatives.
• Maintain safe work practices and organized work areas; apply codes and standards.
