Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician to support facilities operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. The role involves preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, and modification of electrical systems in Government facilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with codes and procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a Maryland-recognized Journeyman license, 3+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to read electrical drawings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Electrician license recognized by the State of Maryland or reciprocal jurisdiction.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing commercial or institutional electrical maintenance and repair.
• Experience maintaining electrical systems in commercial, industrial, institutional, or Government facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, branch circuits, panels, breakers, transformers, motors, and associated electrical equipment.
• Install, maintain, and replace electrical wiring, conduit, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and related components.
• Test electrical systems and equipment using appropriate diagnostic and testing instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, labor, and materials.
