Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Arlington, VA is seeking a Lead Caregiver to supervise shift assignments, provide hands-on ADL support, and coach caregivers to maintain high quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.

You will review resident plans, monitor changes, and promote safety and compliance while supporting onboarding and mentoring new team members. The role offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands‑on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISPs
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
