Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Kennebunk, ME seeks a Lead Caregiver to serve as shift leader and mentor for caregiving staff. You will ensure consistent, compassionate care, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage while coaching the team on quality and documentation standards.

You’ll review charting for ISP alignment, monitor resident changes, and promptly communicate concerns. Onboarding and safety leadership are also key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications are required or obtained.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills are essential.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
