Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver who will serve as the shift leader, delivering hands-on care while guiding a caregiving team to uphold quality, safety, and resident comfort. You will mentor staff, review charting, and ensure alignment with individualized plans.

You will engage in onboarding, support coverage, and promote a respectful, compassionate culture that shines in every interaction with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, age 18+.
• CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration certifications.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
