Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking a Lead Caregiver in Oregon. This role supports clients in daily living activities, fills shifts, trains new caregivers, and handles short-notice calls across assigned branches. Availability during specified shifts is required.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour with consistent hours and pay, plus branch support, travel time compensation, and opportunities for training, orientation, and ongoing education. Benefits include referral rewards and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Able to pass state and national background check.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Active NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required.
• At least one year of experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels.
• Smartphone with AxisCare app.
• WA: Current valid CEs if HCA.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in activities of daily living (household chores, meals, dressing, bathing, companionship).
• Transport clients to errands or appointments in your car.
• Assist with gait belt or Hoyer transfers and monitor client condition.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

Lead Caregiver Schedule:

Monday - Friday or Thursday - Monday / 8AM to 6PM or 9AM to 7PM

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate:

21.00

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record

• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
