Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver to act as shift leader, ensuring high-quality resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team.

The role includes coordinating coverage, hands-on ADL support, and mentoring new staff, with a focus on safety, documentation, and communication. Join a team dedicated to compassionate, professional senior care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands‑on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
