Job summary
Northwestern Medicine's Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute seeks an Outcomes Research Manager to lead a team advancing outcomes-focused research, transforming data into insights, and supporting clinical excellence.
This self-directed leader will drive publications, guide priorities, and partner with clinical and administrative leaders to operationalize internal research infrastructure across divisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field with 3–5 years of related experience.
- Master of Science in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Experience in cardiovascular clinical or research setting; focus on patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, supervise, and evaluate research support staff; ensure data abstraction, data integrity, and manuscript preparation.
- Lead outcome-based research projects analyzing retrospective data.
- Co-lead the Cardiovascular Research Committee with physician leadership.
- Track and report progress on research projects, publications, and presentations.
- Oversee research fellows; develop internal guidelines and policies.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration with Clinical Trials Unit and Northwestern University teams.
- Guide research priorities to align with clinical excellence.
- Promote a growth-oriented, accountable team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
